Transfer Photographs to CD & Video DVD - $0.79 per photo plus shipping
($35.00 minimum order)
Our Photo to DVD Package includes photographs scanned in JPEG format at 300 dpi & transferred onto CD’s (for printing, scrap booking, emailing, etc.), plus a video DVD Slideshow Movie (playable on most DVD players to be viewed on television) with professional transitions between photos, 5 opening/closing titles and optional royalty free muscic added in the background. All CD/DVDs will have labels, inserts & come inside jewel cases. After scanning, each image is checked for quality and is cropped/rotated as needed. (Please read the notes below regarding the quality of scanned photos.)
Music notes: If you would like to have background music playing during the video DVD Slideshow we have some royalty free music that may be added to the presentation. Some clients choose not to have background music, they feel music can become outdated & prefer to play their own selections at home during the slideshow so this is optional.
Titles: For video DVD movies, short titles may be added between groups of photos & up to 5 titles are included in the above package. Additional titles are $1.00 each. Titles consist of words on a dark background that appear before a group of pictures. Be sure to write the number of the photo where you wish to have the title appear.
(There will be an additional $1.00 per title charge if you prefer to have the words appear on a particular photo. Write your preference on where they should be positioned. An example would be “Dads Fishing Boat” across the top bottom or middle of photo #78. If you would prefer to leave the positioning to us, write “place anywhere” or something similar.)
Photo Scanning: Pictures are scanned at 300 dpi and print sizes up to 8" x 10" are accepted. The file sizes of color photographs scanned at 300 dpi vary depending on the photos. In general, a 3" x 5" print creates close to a 3 MB file. A CD will hold between 650-700 MB and a DVD will accept 4.7 GB of data not including the video DVD menu program. The number of video DVDs required varies with the amount and size of photos/negatives scanned.
Optional Services
Option 1: Additional Video DVD Slide Show Movie copies available on DVD for $20.00 each.
Option 2: Video DVD Slide Show Movie copies available on video tape (VHS) for an additional $15.00 each. Great gift for a family without a DVD player!
Option 3: Additional copies of each CD for $5.00 per CD. Example: If you would like an additional set made on CD as a back-up for an order of 900 images (225 images fit on a CD) it would cost an additional $20.00 ($5.00 x 4 CDs). Please indicate number and type of copies needed on the order form.
Option 4: Contact Sheets (Thumbnails 25 images/page) are $1.00 per page in PDF format. They are saved onto CD with your image files for you to print. (We create the Thumbnail pages for you to print.)

Fireproof Memories - Consider ordering additional copies as gifts, for placement in safety deposit boxes or fireproof containers.

Photographs Scanned to CD in JPEG format - $0.59 per photo

Photograph Scanning to CD: Pictures are scanned at 300 dpi and print sizes up to 8" x 10" are accepted. Notes on photo scanning quality: Glossy photographs typically scan better than photos with a matte finish because light from the scanner reflects off the ridges in the finish that may cause some 'artifacts' to appear in the final image. Older or black & white photographs most often produce good results when scanned, especially those photos with a smooth finish.
Optional Services
Option 1: Additional copies of each CD for $5.00 per CD. Example: If you would like an additional set made on CD as a back-up for an order of 900 images (225 images fit on a CD) it would cost an additional $20.00 ($5.00 x 4 CDs). Please indicate number and type of copies needed on the order form.

Option 3: Photos scanned to DATA DVD (typically for large orders). Data DVDs are for computer use only, NOT playable on DVD players. A data DVD will hold about as much as 5-6 CDs. For photos or negatives scanned and saved onto data DVDs instead of the CDs - add $10.00 per data DVD. Data DVDs are primarily used as back-up copies or when a large order requires several CDs. Data DVDs are only viewable on a computer.
