SMOKING GUN SEMINARS for PAIN INVESTIGATORS (P.I.'s) ™
Become a PI - Pain Investigator
Move over CSI - our new Smoking Gun Seminars for Pain Investigators™ has arrived. Our Pain Investigator class incorporates a variety of learning strategies including a hands-on investigative approach to solving real health care problems.
Pain is a crime and crime scenes contain evidence. Each Pain Investigator (PI) will:
- Evaluate witness interviews (patient history, chief complaint)
- Investigate clues (pain mechanisms)
- Examine physical evidence (signs & symptoms)
- Make the case (determine areas of involvement)
- Conclusions (assess musculoskeletal condition)
- Disarm suspected perpetrators (deactivate trigger points)
Who should attend and why? Licensed Therapists are encouraged to attend. During our Smoking Gun for Pain Investigators (PI) Seminar Series – Pull the Trigger on Trigger Points ™ we will evaluate problem areas for the most common musculoskeletal disorders & apply appropriate trigger point therapies, acupressure treatments and stretching, to alleviate the myofascial dysfunction. Seminar dates will be posted for 2010 once they have been confirmed. To see if we will be in your area visit our calendar page on the left menu.
Actual case studies are provided where participants will examine the evidence gathered and investigate the information at the scene of the crime. Anatomy and pathologies of the musculoskeletal system will be reviewed, with an overview of the neurological mechanisms of pain. Seminar consists of lecture, illustrations, small group activities and clinical case studies.
The Smoking Gun Seminar for Pain Investigators™ has been divided into 2 separate classes. Pull the Trigger on Trigger Points: Part 1 for the upper half of the body and Pull the Trigger on Trigger Points: Part 2 which covers the lower half of the body.
